We watched Super 8 and we (including Svet) we’re all greatly entertained. I’m no good at reviewing movies at all, but it says a lot when I have the urge to and actually write about a movie I just watched. Super 8 has the quality I miss from old films. I don’t know exactly how to say it but when I was younger Super 8 made me feel what I felt after watching a superb movie during those days. Nostalgic much? I don’t know. They just don’t make good movies like these a lot anymore.

I don’t even know most of the people in the cast (me and Paulie had to look them up after the film) but I was impressed. Usually when we watch a movie it’s because someone we adore is in it, but since this is a Spielberg movie I thought this would be good. And it is. The plot isn’t new, I’ve seen this type of story before, but heck the effects are stunning. Even Svet was gasping at appropriate moments while watching, which I guess is a good sign that it’s very effective in getting under the viewer’s skin.

No, it’s not a horror movie. It’s sci-fi and it’s more about friendship and family. Which I think is the main reason why it should be great bonding activity next weekend if you haven’t watched it yet,. Do. It’s goood.
