GT: Favorite Word
This month we’re talking about words. Not just ordinary words, mind you. Special words that are, well, you better check my last entry for the prompts this August. LOL. I am a huge fan of words, so this first week’s discussion is actually hard for me. I cannot easily choose just one from so many! But I must. So here it is:
Kanga
It’s not actually a proper word. It’s the name of a Winnie-the-Pooh character, a kangaroo. The Pooh set of feature films is Svet’s favorite to watch nowadays, and Roo (Kanga’s son) is the character that she identifies the most with (maybe because he’s the youngest character in the film). So Svet calls herself Chingching Roo (Chingching being her nickname) and she calls me Mama Kanga. She pronounces it like they do in the film, keng-guh. We get stares from other people when she pronounces words like that. LOL.
So there. That’s my favorite word. How about yours? Join in the Girls Talk fun! How? Simple! Just make a post including the Girls Talk badge AND link, submit the EXACT URL of your post at the inLinkz tool below and hop to the blogs of the other participants to see what other they have to say on the prompt of the week topic! Excellent topic for this month! Easy to answer, since we’re all bloggers and we love to use words. ^_^
