On Being A Girl

What makes you feel like a girly girl? Me? Wearing a dress, would be my answer. I haven’t worn a dress in goodness knows how long, so you can imagine how non-girly I feel these days. And so today I made a decision to change that. I told Paulie that I was going to buy some dresses online. Not that I needed his permission to do that, I just want to see what his reaction to it will be. He said, “Finally!” Well, that’s a good response as any, don’t you think?

And soo begins my hunting for cute dresses that I can actually wear. I was not endowed with big (or even regular-sized) front bumpers, so I tend to shy away from the cleavage-baring types because, well, I simply have none to show. But, while I won’t be buying any BCBG (you know, the BCBGMAXAZRIA) in this haul because I’m such a cheapskate when it comes to buying stuff for myself, I still check out his collection of dresses because they are simply to-die for! I’m drooling over this heather grey wool mock neck sweater dress ($159.99 at BlueFly.com), which really reminds me of Angelina Jolie (main factor while I like the dress).

Heck, while I’m dreaming, why don’t I throw in these gorgeous BCBG shoes as well, they’re simply adorable! Do you think this black seamed leather ‘Hughes’ tall cuffed boots ($297 on the same store) will look good on the grey dress? Oh what the hey. Even if they didn’t, I’m still in love with both of them. It’s this kind of occasion that I wish I was a several hundred dollars richer. Hee hee.
