GT: Math Hater

Last week we were gushing about the subjects that we love the most. This week, let’s bring out our loathing/dislike/hate (or whatever you’d like to call it) of that one subject that we used dread going to class to. I’ve been vocal about this on my blogs: I HATE MATH. Numbers make my head hurt just looking at them. And I’m not even exaggerating! It doesn’t help that ALL of my math teachers from elementary to college were not as entertaining as I’d like them to be. They were either strict, or VERY strict.

One exception, though, would be my Statistics subject in college. My professor there (of course I already forgot his name. LOL) is the least strict of all my math teachers, and can actually laugh from time to time during class. So I guess that was what made the subject more bearable. All my other math subjects I attend with boredom or dread. I’m always surprised at the end of the term when I get my grade cards that I am able to pass all of them.

    I used to hate math in high school and I had my first boyfriend tutor me. we didn’t end up together, but at least he made me love math… :D In 1st yr college, my Math teacher was kind of cute in a geeky kind of way, which made me pay attention and listen to the subject because I wanted to impress him, so I loved Math more.. :P He was my math teacher for 3 years in 3 different Math subjects (Algebra, Calculus and Applied Math) and he was awesome, I never failed Math in college. :P I still know his name.. :P

    i guess there is probably an unwritten rule that if you love english you’d hate math, i am a classic example..posting my entry just in time, for a change ;)

    I wasn’t that particularly interested in Statistics. Haha! But I really hated Accounting and Physics!

    You are not alone Kaye hehe. Hindi masyado halata na hate mo ang math kasi you are code in coding and designing. Ako i totally suck at math.

    Gawin na lang kasing strategy ng mga school administrators to hire math teachers with looks, hahaha.. nang sa ganun mai-enganyo mga college girls to pay attention kasi nakakahiya yun diba, and sisexy natin sa school lalo na sa college taz pagdating sa quizzes, bagsak..aww!!!

    I suppose I would need to like Maths to some degree because I became an accountant afterwards :-) I don’t think it was my best subject but it was not my worst.
