GT: Cheesy, Mushy
I didn’t realize that it would again be a Thursday in several minutes until Paulie mentioned it. Gosh, time sure flies by fast this month. We’re still talking about love this week, the second to the last week of the month of love. Since we just celebrated Valentine’s day, I thought it would be fun to post about the cheesy stuff that we did for our special someone on the 14th that just passed. If you didn’t do anything mushy this year, well then do share any cheesy thing (thingS, if you’re that type of girl) you did for a loved one in this lifetime.
Let me start. Since Paulie and I don’t really see Valentine’s as a special day, we didn’t do anything extra special last Monday. We just watched the movie Going The Distance, which, incidentally, is a flick very apt for Valentine’s. But we’ve been watching romantic comedies these past two months so it wouldn’t really count as out of the ordinary. So I am just going to share to you the stuff that we did when we’re still boyfriend-girlfriend, four, five years ago.
Back when our relationship was still not “legal”, I thought of a way we can talk to each other even if we don’t see each other everyday. We started this semi-public journal for two, see, and we called it our baby (babies, actually, as we filled four notebooks). I bought a Blue Feather notebook (you know, the one with the really smooth surface. It made us more motivated to write in it. Hee hee) and what we’d do is I’d carry the notebook with me this day and he would carry it with him tomorrow. While the notebook is in my possession, I would write in it. Mostly about what happened to me that day and well, anything that comes to mind. When it’s in his hands, he would write and draw in it as well. And yes, this was when cellphones were already in existence. LOL. Which is what made it extra cheesy.
We filled four Blue Feather notebooks just by doing that. We still keep it until this day, and vow to read some pages every year during our anniversary. It’s fun to look back at all the craziness we wrote to each other back then. How I was so angry with the world because it can’t understand why I love him, and how he was always frustrated and missing me because we can’t see each other everyday even if we want to. We would laugh at our childishness during those days, while reading our shared journal. We think we even started a trend back then, because suddenly, couples we know also started keeping a journal much like our own. Of course, now that we’re living together and we spend endless hours talking to each other, it makes no sense to keep such a journal anymore. It’s just a lot of fun, looking back.
But enough about me. Share us your cheesy/mushy story! Join in the Girls Talk fun! How? It’s simple! Just make a post including the Girls Talk badge and link, link up to the EXACT URL of your post and hop to other girls’ blog to see what other girls have to say on the week’s topic! That’s how you play Girls Talk!

Medyo uso nga yan nuon highschool ako (magka-batch ba tayo?).. Matutuwa nyan si lil Svet pag nabasa nya yan. Parang Romeo and Juliet kasi kayo nun diba
