I Want Scrubs!
Contrary to that line from a famous TLC song: “No, I don’t want no scrub”, I actually want them scrubs. Only, I want the TV series, not the type of man that the song is pertaining to. For those of you who haven’t heard of the series, it is a comedy drama show that highlights the lives of certain Sacred Heart (a fictional teaching hospital) employees. The sitcom name is a play on medical scrubs that are used by health practitioners and is a slang term for the lowest ranks in the medical hierarchy.
Created by Bill Lawrence and produced by ABC Studios, Scrubs premiered on October 2, 2001 on NBC. It focuses on John (JD, as he is more popularly known in the series) Dorian’s point of view in learning the ways of medicine, life and friendship. In each episode, JD and his friends’ wacky take on the pressuring life within the confines of the hospital entertains and teaches us a lesson every time. You’ll know immediately that I’m watching Scrubs when you see a lot of surgical scrubs appearing in and out of our TV screen.
Scrubs’ nine seasons was great while it lasted, but as we know all good things never last. I will surely miss seeing all that medical scrub on screen and will just be content on watching the old seasons over and over when I miss JD. This is the first medical series that I was hooked into, because the theme was not so serious and I didn’t get bored at all watching the whole run. It will forever be the medical series closest to my heart.

I want scrubs too…
