GT: Us Time
It’s the second week of December my gorgeous Girl Talkers, and it’s getting colder by the day. What better way to spend it than to hang out on that perfect place that you and your special someone love to go to? This week’s prompt is about the best or your favorite place to go with your husband or boyfriend. We at Girls Talk sure would like to know where you go for a date, or for anything, with your loved one. So let me start the ball rolling.
Besides movie marathons and eating (and having sex, of course. I hope my mom does not read this blog), Paulie (that’s my hubby) and I’s idea of the perfect “us” time is to… tada! do nothing. By “us” time I mean me and Paulie and Svet. We’re a package deal now. LOL. And what better place to do nothing than at Burnham Park. Yep. We go to the park. Besides the fact that it’s accessible (it’s one ride away from us), Svet (my daughter) also loves to go there too. Mainly to run free and play with the kids at the playground. So it’s hitting two birds in one stone. We get to people/nature watch and Svet gets her fill of outside air.
There’s our little girl trying to sneak away
I haven’t been here to Baguio before we actually moved in this city to live in it, so I couldn’t tell if the Burnham Park looks way better years ago than it does now. A lot of people say that in fact, the Burnham Park now is ugly already, but I beg to disagree. I think it’s a very romantic place, with beautiful flowers and trees and a lot of people just relaxing. I know I sound like I have pathetically low standards, but every time we go there, I realize how beautiful my city is. How different it is from the awfully polluted and crime-infested Manila (sorry Manileñas). How I would not trade living in here for anything else in the world, and how me and my family enjoy it here.
When we’re at the park, me and Paulie would just sit or lie down on our picnic mat and talk while watching Svet play with the other kids. I know it sounds boring to some of you, but it’s our idea of a good time. Just talking to each other, people-watching and enjoying the scenery. I think a lot of locals would agree, as I observe a lot of them do the same thing we do. So hey, when you’re in the city and you and your partner like the idea of hanging out at the park, let’s go on a double date
But. Enough about me. What about you? What is you and your husband’s/boyfriend’s favorite place to go to? How to join in the Girls Talk fun? Why it’s simple! Just make a post, link up to the EXACT URL of your post and hop to other girls’ blog to see what other girls have to say on the week’s topic! That’s how you play Girls Talk!

This linky list is now closed.
