Last year, I had the exact title for a post here on my other blog, WAHMAholic. Back then, I was mulling over the benefits of staying with MTurk, one of my first online sidelines which proved to be lucrative in its early days. There were a lot of changes in the system which led me to think twice if it’s worth the effort. Obviously, I decided it wasn’t, since I haven’t visited the site in almost a year. I do, however, still hear from fellow MTurkers from time to time, acquaintances from when I worked there with them.

I admit I miss being able to buy Amazon books without having to spit out cash because of the gift cards I earn from Turking. But other than that, I realize I don’t regret making the decision to leave. I’ve moved on to bigger and better things since then, as I hope my fellow Filipino MTurkers have done. I’ll always have good memories of the sideline though, like the weekly thrill I get when the top Turkers for a certain job gets a decent bonus and I’m one of them. Oh well. Those were the days.
