What’s the footwear to be seen in these days? Kitten heels! Yay for us who can’t stand wearing those stilettos and prefer comfort over style anytime of the day. These lovelies may not be the most-loved fashion trend that’s happened since people started wearing shoes, but I adore them just the same. They’re about the only heels I can stand if I must absolutely wear something other than my usual flats. I was impressed when first learned that Michelle Obama is rocking them. I love how the First Lady dresses up, and seeing her wear kitten heels makes me feel like wearing them all the time, too.
I think the reason why most women shy away from this fashion trend is because it is unflattering for one’s height. And the perception that it is mumsy, because kitten heels command more than your usual skinny jeans. But in all fairness to the kitten heels, they are really comfortable on the feet and does not give you hell by the end of the day like stilettos do (at least to me). Since I’m already tall, I don’t really need that extra height boost anymore. So kitten heels it is for me.
