GT: Grocery Queen
Hello ladies! It’s a brand-new month and this November we will be talking about the activity that I think most girls love doing: SHOPPING! I hope everyone who haven’t joined last month due to the book topic can join in the fun this month, starting today. This week it’s all about the groceries – that which eats up a fairly huge chunk of the family budget. But hey, it’s necessary, and it can be a fun activity if we choose it to be!
As for our household, me, Paulie (the hubby) and Svet (the baby) usually do it together, twice or thrice a month, depending on how fast the stocks deplete. Svet likes riding the grocery cart and has taken it as a mandatory part of the grocery routine that she be put inside the cart. We sometimes shop only a small amount of items, so she always looks for the cart during those times Paulie gets a small basket and demands that her daddy gets “the big one”. That’s our budding little dictator right there.
What do we usually get? Diapers (Svet isn’t fully toilet-trained yet, so she still wears them at night and when we go out), milk (for Svet again), Chocquik (instant choco malt drink, for me), Kopiko (coffee for Paulie), powdered juice (Tang or Nestea), an assortment of biscuits, cupcakes and bread, a couple of junk food (we limit to a couple now. We used to buy five or six), pasta and all spaghetti ingredients (we always have them stocked now that Svet is addicted to spaghetti), condiments and sauces. We rarely buy canned goods. We’d rather buy fresh. Pictures to follow. We haven’t done the groceries this month yet because we still have stocks from last time.
How about you girls? What’s always in your grocery list? Do share with us, and let us take a peek into your grocery shopping habits. How to join in the Girls Talk fun? Why it’s simple! Just make a post, link up to the EXACT URL of your post and hop to other girls’ blog to see what other girls have to say on the week’s topic! That’s how you play Girls Talk!

Hi! What langugae are you guys writing in?
In my household it’s just me and my boyfriend. Instead of buying a lot a few times a week we buy a little a few times a week. Not good I know. And it takes time as well > _ <.
On my shopping list you can always find curdled, wich is processed sour milk. It sounds like it would taste really bad (ha ha) but it actually taste really good with some serials. It is very common here in Swwden. And in swedish it's called filmjöl.
most of the original girl talkers are filipina, and some of them are commenting in our native language, tagalog.
i love cereals! and would equally love to try sour milk with it
i already graduated from the ‘diaper’ and ‘baby formula’ lol! but i still shop for various biscuits, milk and chocolate drink..
i envy you! i wish i could graduate from diapers too pretty soon. LOL
We rarely buy canned goods too; all that sodium is just scary.
i know, right? and it’s more expensive to buy canned goods than to buy fresh, which is healthier on any count
Hi mare. miss kita nung sat. nga pala condolence. i wasn’t able to bloghop last week, busy kasi with offline work.
mare pag di ka na busy baka may pagawa me ulit sau.
yehey! more pa!
hi marce…miss yah:)

top of my list din yong milk tsaka diaper..buti pa si Svet mahilig sa spaghetti, si Hyzyd finoforce ko pa..he..he…
aww.. me mga bata tlga ayaw nun. in time magustuhan nya rin i’m sure
