An Apple A Day

Keeps the added weight away. Yep. But make that three apples a day. This isn’t a new discovery but for those who don’t know yet, apples are a good way to lose those extra pounds. This is great news for overweight people who loves apple to bits. But how in the world would eating apples be helpful to your goal of losing weight?

In two ways. First, apples are rich in fiber, which means that if you eat one before a meal (or in between meals), it fills your stomach up quicker. Thus, you are less inclined to consumer more food during your meal. Second, apples have high water content. Do you know that water helps increase metabolism? And increased metabolism, in turn, aids in weight loss.

But of course, apples are not only good for losing weight. They also lower blood cholesterol and blood pressure, as well as regulate blood sugar. I’ve read a lot of other benefits for eating apples, and I must say that not a lot of fruits can claim to do that. Impressive. Now excuse me. I must go buy some apples for the fam.

    i’ll probably have to try this. i only like to eat very RED apples pero hindi din madalas. i suppose i’ll have to try the green kind as well if i am really serious about losing this added weight.
