GT: Pass-Me-The-Kleenex Books

Are you ready for the book month my lovelies? I know I am! This month it’s all about that one thing most of us girls love doing, and that is, reading the pages of a good book to the end. I literally own hundreds of books, and have read twice beyond those that I own. I guess in another life I was a librarian, what with my love for books and my stern librarian attitude. LOL.
I don’t know about you, but reading gives me a sort of enjoyment that no other activity can compare to. I am not well-traveled but having read tons of books in my lifetime makes me experience those places that I can only dream of going to. While reading, I am immediately transported to the world that the author wants me to see, feeling the things that the author wants me to feel.
This week’s theme is BOOK/S THAT MADE YOU CRY. I have read a lot of those, from authors like Nicholas Sparks to Jodi Picoult, but my favorite tearjerker of all time is this:

I have just actually reread it (for the nth time) for this week’s topic and I still can’t over the amazing story. Basically, the book is a wonderful, wonderful tale of an old man’s last months of life (Morrie Schwart) and the former student (Mitch Albom) who returns for his last lesson.
Tears are literally streaming from my eyes each and every time I pick up this book to read. After reading it the first time, I know I am never going to be the same again. If you’ve already read it and didn’t cry a lot, then I don’t know what else will. The fact that it is a true story makes it all the more moving. Please read it if you haven’t. Highly recommended.
So. How about you? What book/s has/have made you cry a river while reading it? I hope to find new books to read through your recommendations, and I hope that you also enjoyed my share for this week. How do you join in the weekly fun? Just make a post, link up to the EXACT URL of your post and hop to other girls’ blog to see what book/s they are featuring this week! That’s how you play Girls Talk!
By the way, we’re using Linky Tools this week, in case you get confused. Inlinkz is glitchy right now and is messing up with my sidebars. Augh.

This linky list is now closed.

this is one of the first books i read when I came here to Dubai. sinipon ako matapos basahin sa kakaiyak LOL
I also felt the same way when reading Albom 2nd book Five People You Meet in Heaven. That, I highly recommend.

I have read Sister’s Keeper, very touchy. I just borrowed this book from a friend. I think I should get my own copy na so I can read it again.
So many entries for A Walk to Remember! Happy reading everyone!
yep, nicholas sparks seems to be a popular choice among girl talkers.
Ha! We have the same book that made us cry!
This book is my favorite!!! I love the story as well as everything that was imparted by Morrie.
I read it over and over… ?
parehas tayo peach! hihi. über love ko talaga story nya
indeed it is a happy GT day!
i really had fun reading the entries today and leaving comments all over the show. i loved all the books. and although i said that i don’t read much tear-jerkers (choosing an obscure classic for an entry), i’ve watched most of the other entries, lol! mahirap kasing umiyak habang nagbabasa….este, magbasa habang umiiyak. the tears get in the way.
i have to run now but i’ll be back later to check again. naubos na ung linky’ng babasahin ko
korek ka dun. mahirap magbasa habang nahihilam ung mata mo sa luha. haha! but it’s a good feeling, especially kung may matutunan ka after reading
I would love to read this one.
please do nathalie! i promise it’s goood!
tuesdays with morrie… what can I say? I cry too everytime there’s a very touching line from morrie. this is such a special book for me also especially since I read it during the time a very close cousin was very sick and i know she won’t be staying long.
awww.. it really would touch you if you were in almost the same situation. i was pregnant naman when i read this, and although at first i thought i cried because i was naturally emotional during that time, i re-read it many times already after giving birth and still it makes me cry ^^
GREAT book! in fact this is also my pick for this week’s theme, lol!
yay dami na natin. hihihi

Grabe tong book na to nu? Super touching na, moving pa! A real tear jerker!
But they said this only comes as the 2nd tear jerker book on the list… Who comes 1st?
Have a great week!
most likely it’s a book by nicholas sparks. although i’m not 100% sure yet because i haven’t begun blog hopping. sheesh. sorry!
If fictional book ang entry ko for this meme, I’d also choose Mitch Albom’s books kasi I really like the writing, very touching. But my entry’s actually not a fictional one…you can read mine at:
