I wasn’t able to watch this (mainly because I didn’t even know what channel to watch it in locally and when, since I hardly watch TV these days) so I just browsed the net for, yep, you guessed it right: who wore what during the event. We’ll start with my current favorite in the red carpet, Carey Mulligan. I must, however, say that the dress she wore for this awards (Giles Resort 2011) did nothing for her. It was unflattering, and I wish she wore fierce heels instead of those violet Roger Vivier peep-toes. I love her make-up though. Very minimal but beautifully done. Her hair is, as usual, a subject of envy. This angle is the best view I can find.

Leighton Meester, now she shone during the gala. She looks like a gorgeous fairy in her blue tulle cocktail dress from the Elie Saab Spring 2011 collection. The blue peep-toe platforms from the same collection and the silver Jimmy Choo Candy acrylic clutch won me over. Even her hair and make-up are perfect!

Do you know Halle Berry is already 44 years old? I did, but how can you believe her age when she shows up in a low-cut silver sequined dress looking hot hot hot? If only we could all age sensationally like that. I mean, has her face even she encountered an anti wrinkle cream in its existence? She looks no more than 25. Heck I bet I’ll look older than her when we meet face to face.
