That Meaty Dress
I was browsing a web directory earlier for new fashion and beauty blogs to follow when my eyes caught sight of the latest Lady Gaga news: her outfits for the 2010 Video Music Awards (VMAs). We are all used to her outrageous outfits every time she comes onscreen, and I’d like to think that I am immune by now but boy was I ever proven wrong by the celebrity. She wore three different outfits for last Sunday’s awards ceremony, and while the other two was the usual Gaga standard, the third gained a lot of controversy. Here’s the first two outfits, the first one a Renaissance-inspired gown from the late Alexander McQueen’s last collection and the second one a black Giorgio Armani leather dress and spiked black headpiece:

Yep. Those are slabs of real meat for ya. The designer, Franc Fernandez, said it weighed around forty pounds. Yikes! After seeing it, I know I will swear off bacon until I can erase the memory from my mind. It’s different, but it’s disgusting. I mean, I can only imagine how that must feel on the skin. Eeek. Apparently, this is not the first time she put on a meat outfit, as she has also already posed for Vogue Hommes Japan wearing nothing but meat (albeit much lighter than the one she wore for the VMAs):
One thing is for sure about all of this though: she is consistently weird.
I have one word for her, EEEEWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!! to the highest level!
