TCP: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

It’s been a long time coming, but the time for me to join Tuesday Couch Potatoes is here! Woot! Sorry marce Kikamz if it took me eons to get to this point. Hee hee. Anyways, this week it’s about our favorite Brad Pitt movie! My all-time favorite is of course, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, but since the host already picked that, I’ll just post my next favorite:

Far different from the run-of-the-mill love stories we see on movies, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button tells about the story of a man who ages in reverse (and if you can’t understand how that is, I suggest you watch the movie) and the love story between him and the leading lady (Cate Blanchett).

As you can imagine, there are a lot of complications that can arise from the love between a woman who ages normally and a man who ages backwards. Besides the film having a superb cast, I also loved the costume designs, the superb makeup, heck I even loved the subdued colors of the film (which normally brings me down). The movie has been criticized by some dawdling on some parts but with a cinematography so dazzling, what can I do but be bewitched?

you are so right! the makeup is suberp! my favorite “brad pitt look” in the movie is when he’s like in his middle age but looks like a teenager. what a heartthrob! ^^,
