GT: Watching With The Enemy
Oops. Apparently, the GT post I had scheduled last night was not published. And I just woke up. Sheesh. So sorry girls. My bad. Don’t worry, those who left a message on my Cbox with their links are already linked to the post (in order of the time posted at the Cbox of course. Hee hee).
Last Thursday this August, so that means this is the last movie recommendation for this month. Did I just hear a lot of “awwww” in there? I feel you girls. I have been enjoying this month’s topic way too much, and it sucks to let it go, but hey, there’s more to us girls than just movies right? So come September, we will be talking about something new. About what you might ask? Well we have several Girl Talkers who came forward and gladly shared with us what they thought might be fitting topics for the coming months.
What I decided was to list all the suggestions in my sidebar (yes, it’s already there now) and let you girls vote. Yay! Highest voted topic will be the topic for September, and this will be announced on Wednesday (September 1) morning (Philippine time). Sounds good? Awesome. Meanwhile, let’s get back to the topic on hand, which is the movie that I would recommend watching with an enemy. Or, if you don’t have an enemy, anyone you don’t like.
When Niko and I were discussing what topic to discuss this August, the movies that came to mind for this last week were gore movies. Yeah, spell yucky. Like Saw and all of its sequels. You know, just to gross out my enemy. LOL. But I realized my tolerance level for gore has dramatically declined the past several years, and if I suggested that I might be sharing the same barf bag with my enemy. Which would be sweet if wasn’t so gross. Hahaha!
Anyways, so I thought of a good movie to watch, something with a forgiveness theme. And I came up with:

First of all, I honestly don’t know why this movie did not go down well with the critics when it was obviously loved by a lot of audience worldwide (grossing a total of $174.3 million worldwide. whew!). Personally, I loved this movie to bits and cried while watching it. Why would I suggest this to watch with an enemy? Well mainly because the movie discusses the subject of mortality, that everyone dies. Life is just too short to spend on hating/disliking someone, so why not enjoy it to the fullest instead? I, myself, would like to be always reminded of that fact, so I can forgive others easier and have less reasons to fight/argue with other people. Don’t we all?
And with Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson in it (and John Mayer doing the OST), what’s not to love?
How about you girls? I’m curious what you have to suggest, and of course we’re all ears to what you have to say! So write up a post, come back here and link it up, and hop to other girls’ blogs to see what they recommend! That’s how you play with Girls Talk and have fun!

hindi ko pa napapanod ito Kaye, siguro nga mabuting manood nito kasama ang number one enemy mo
at baka maisipan namin i forgive ang isa’t isa ahahaha
haha! go! ayain na ang kagalit
sayang nga mga ganitong klase ng movie kase di masyadong nabibigyan ng pansin. how i wish na reconciliation palagi ang ending sa totoong buhay.
it’s not an ideal world, but we can always hope for the best
i wish to watch this movie…for sure somehow it would englighten me and instead of hating the people who’s getting into my nerves as usual i hope i would learn to forget and forgive her for what she did…
please do when you have time
Although I’m not a movie person, I also recommend this movie.Gosh, parang naalala ko pa yung line na’Never trust a fart’.
“Here’s something to remember when you’re older Thomas – never pass up a bathroom, never waste a hard-on, and never trust a fart.” lurve! haha!
This is the one movie I really hope I could watch, but I just can’t find a copy.
on torrent maybe?
I saw this movie at Star Movies. It was very interesting. I agree, I think the critics are a bit harsh. I didn’t join this week, couldn’t find a movie I’d watch with an enemy.
aww, too bad. i had a hard time finding a movie too, ya know
i loved this movie too!
glad you did marce
this is a very inspiring movie that gives everybody hope. i love this movie..=)
hey marce, i have exactly the same movie in mind. The Bucketlist. i just love it for all the right reasons: great actors, beautiful storyline and a superb OST from my man, john meyers. but as usual late ako. for publishing pa nga ung entry ko e. churi!
hope to watch this movie… u’ve got nice pick for this week! I just shared something worth pondering.. which can stir emotion, love, hate and passion for all! Tnx for hosting this meme! Great day ahead!
Waah late ulet ako. di ko pa ito napapanood marce at since nirecommend mo kasama na ito sa list of movies to watch namin.
