I Am Not Gene
I’m sorry. But I just have to clarify that my name is not Gene. Tee hee. I already have several people calling me by that name in this blog, so I thought I’d do a post especially for it. My real name is Karina (Russian origin), my friends call me Kareng or Kaye or simply, K. I used to be called KM when I was little, which stands for my first and last names’ initials. But nobody calls me that anymore, except sometimes for my mom.
So there’s no way in the world I’d be called Gene (unless you think I look like my gorgeous marce Gene [her full name is Genebei Faith, thus the nickname], which I will of course take as a huge compliment. LOL). So why the domain name Beauty Queen Gene? The original phrase is actually drama queen gene. A drama queen is someone who gets far too upset or angry over small problems, and someone who is found always overacting has the drama queen gene in her.
Gene = a working subunit of our DNA
I thought that since I wanted a fashion blog, I wanted something that will say that no matter how or what we look like, we are all beautiful inside, and we all have the beauty queen gene in all of us. Thus Beauty Queen Gene.
Okay? So I’m not Gene, I just want to make that clear. Tee hee.

I was using the nickname LingLing that my friend gave me for a year and a half of blogger and so everyone thought I was Asian
That’s why I decided to start using my real name but some people still call me Ling anyway 
I, myself, thought you are Chinese when I first visited your blog through GT. Tee hee. I like calling you LingLing, it’s such a sweet nickname

Kasi naman masyadong malalalim. Iba talaga pag matalino kagaya mo, K. Ako nga biology major ndi na gets bakit gene. Ayun pala scientific! wahahhah!
